The Twelves can turn even the most obscure indie songs into disco dance extravaganzas. It’s a beautiful thing and that is why they are my favorite DJ’s right now. The Brazilian natives really know how to get the party started, especially a party filled with hipsters who try to be like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever or Olivia Newton-John in Xanadu.

City Hall is as thrilled as ever for a brand new Santigold album. The young artist has piqued my interest. She’s badass and incredibly musical. Her songs sound really good. Her sound a sonic melange of styles from electro to punk, from hip hop to pop. Critics really don’t know what to make of Santigold, she can’t be put in a category. ..And i love it. Don’t over think or try to compartmentalize music, just listen and enjoy and let it be what it is.

I’m gonna go on the record and say we have just made our first major discovery. Introducing The Skins. They will be hugely popular, if not after this, then very soon. No one older than 19 and even as young as 13, The Skins are proof that age doesn’t matter, taste does.
They aren’t bashful about paying their respects to the classic sound we all love while finessing a style all their own. Consisting of 3 blood siblings Reef, 13 on drums, Kaya, 17 on bass, and Bayli, 18 on vocals they teamed up with a couple friends (who they met at the famous NYC School Of Rock) Daisy,17, and Russel, 19 who both add to the already blessed gene pool the talent of their dynamic dueling guitars.
