Music brings people together, as evidenced by the recent passing of Michael Jackson and the global mourning of a musician that despite his own personal battles was able to reach the world with his music.
In the spirit of music bringing people together, I just read this story on the Kitsune Noir blog. “Play Me I’m Yours” is apparently a music/social experiement started by Luke Jerram “who takes pianos and puts them into busy, cultural areas across the world.”
The idea alone is sheer genius but the fact that someone actually took the time and energy to actually DO it really inspires. According Kitsune Noir, folks took to the idea so much that in places like Sao Paolo, people traveled from far and wide just to get a chance to play on a piano.
Needless to say projects like this deserve much more attention and people like Luke deserve more praise, though judging by this idea, praise is the last thing on his mind.
IOC: Approved! Thanks Luke…
