commercialism has worn away the essence of true character and corrupted the soul of the original. This our rally page! Fight the Industry of Cool! PS. Thank You Lester Bangs!
We’ve been admiring the work of 13th Witness for quite some time now and if you haven’t seen his work than go, bask in its glory »here«. We alos happen to be avid fans of all things NYC. (I swear we invented everything from Pastrami sandwiches to shell top adidas but I digress) ANYways, so imagine our excitement when we spotted this latest set of images from the NSW x Futura Stickball Tournament held down on Mercer Street in Soho, NYC. Looks like a bangin’ lil block party, complete with Q-Tip providing the tunes.
Without question the images by 13th Witness and the work by Futura are stellar. (Will def. have to cop a tee or too for Spring/Summer Yankeeness) BUT…(and you knew it was coming) we just can’t stand it when big name corporations take something so local and personal like stickball, and close off an entire street in soho to promote their expensive ass goods. Arghh. Anyways, we don’t want to rant on this now. Instead we’ll focus on sharing the eye of 13th Witness. Brilliant.
Music….it makes the world go ‘round. DJ Yonny cuts it, remixes it, flips it, remixes it again and dares you not to fall over yourself. IoC is always selective on praise and props so naturally after hearing this new mix from the “Mixmaster” we had to post it immediately. After all, what good is music if you canlt share it. This mix is the sh*t. Did he just mix Santigold with Royksopp??? WTF! We just found our official soundtrack.
Time to celebrate our countries birthday by keeping your dignity and your fingers. Leave the heavy drinking and the fireworks for the experts, and play this great music! By Inti J. July 4, Americas…
DJs. Today everybody thinks they can be one. And every one of them will tell you that not everyone can be a DJ. Ironic. Anyway so we kinda dug this image for its visual representation of how a DJ does the damn thing.
Well we at IoC are big 007 fans. Not all 007s mind you but defintiely Roger Moore’s 007. And from that hey day of james bonds comes this little dittie from the movie of the same name “the Spy Who Loved Me”, reworked by Radiohead.

The Cast featured Roger (of course) and hot to death bond babe Barbara Bach. This poster even features the hottest helicopter pilot bad girl Caroline Munro. Original song was a hit for Carly Simon. Never heard this Radiohead version but everything they do kicks ass so….IoC approved!
